A modern day version of the Lady of Shallot painted by John William Waterhouse in 1888 based on Tennysons poem of 1832. It measures 85 cm x 115 cm and comes framed and signed. An underlayer of raw umber and Unison pastels. Kindly posed by my daughter in law, Alex. The swans were an added bonus, they were just being curious, very good timing. I called it Hope after Pandoras box, releasing hope on the world.
